the thing that eats the heart is mostly heart

"The day John Gallagher left, when Lauren Pritchard walked offstage after she did her scene with him, she literally fell to the floor on her hands and knees. I specifically asked my family be in the audience on John’s last night because that was the only thing that kept me from stopping and saying, “I can’t finish this.” It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done."

—Lea Michele on losing original cast members. From this interview.

Those You’ve Known - Spring Awakening

Okay. So, story time. I was sitting in front of Hunter’s mom during this performance and she was the sweetest woman ever. She was talking about how proud she was of him and how much she loved the show. Also, his last “just watch me” fucking breaks my heart every. single. time. He was absolutely my favorite Melchior. I don’t even care.

I was at Hunter’s “first” official Melchior. Sitting right next to him onstage. And he blew me away. Completely. His acting was incredible and perfect and everything I wanted it to be. And his voice was surprisingly strong and beautiful. I absolutely loved and still love his performance. Favorite.

I love Jonathan Groff, but I think Hunter Parrish was the best Melchior.

oh dear lord… Hunter Parrish…

The most intense hayloft scene there ever was. I remember feeling super uncomfortable while watching this happen. Especially since Hunter’s mom was sitting directly behind me, hahaha.

God, his Melchior was SO good. Haters to the left.

Word up, Karlie.
